These wrinkles tend to be deep set, running up and down right smack dab in the middle of your eyebrows. They are like bookends because they tend to show up in pairs, which is how they scored the nickname of "11" wrinkles.
How hard is it to lessen or remove these deep wrinkles between the brows? What causes these so-called eleven wrinkles?
Just like any other wrinkle, the breakdown and loss of elastin and collagen play a big role in the formation of these creases. For women, a decrease in estrogen levels can also be a contributing factor to the onset of fine lines, in addition to these deeper, more prominent wrinkles.
What really makes these deep wrinkles between the brows worse is the repetitive movements to these specific muscles. In other words, by constantly furrowing your brows, worrying, crying, or any other form of expression that has you making and holding this “frowning” or “scowling”position will, over time, result in these dreaded eleven wrinkles.
They tend to start out as just slight indentations between the brows, but again, the more you keep repeating and holding expressions involving
these muscles, the deeper these creases will become.
You can try to cover the elevens with your hair, but good luck when a strong gust of wind comes along!
A better idea is to try to get rid or at least soften the look of these deep wrinkles.
As with any other area on your face, a good cleansing and exfoliating once or twice a week can help. Be sure to keep the area hydrated with a good skin cream, preferably a nutrient-rich cream that contains peptides and/or helps to restore underlying elastin and collagen.
Drink plenty of water to keep the skin as plump and hydrated as possible. If your skin is dry, the elevens can set even deeper into the skin.
Eleven wrinkles can also be minimized by working this area with facial exercises.
The "wrinkle release technique" can really help with these deep lines, because as you contract and rub the muscles in this area, it helps to
rebuild the muscles and tissue to the point of making these deep creases soften and become very faint.
By exercising this area of the face, blood circulation is improved and fat can be re-distributed. Over the course of a few weeks, these deep creases will flatten out and the area will become noticeably smoother.
You will look less tired, less angry and less worried or stressed.
Deep wrinkles between the brows, or elevens, can be softened in time. Getting rid of these very noticeable, deep creases will allow you to feel less self-conscious, look well-rested and take years off your appearance.
